the EP is finished! below are the 5 tracks in order.

really looking forward to doing more collaborations over summer, as well as starting (and finishing) some photo projects i've had in my brain for a long time. maybe some time-lapse stuff. been listening to hudson mohawke and icelandic folk. reading patrick mccabe's mondo desperado. it's ok, kinda funny but not as good as butcher boy..

i'm certainly living up to my sub-heading! procrastinating can be fun.

the new EP's coming along and, while it's taking longer than i'd planned, i'm happy with it. hopefully it will be finished in september/october. have also been working on some other projects with friends, which i'll load up soon too, i hope.

been listening to this LP 'stillpoint' from aussie band Madder Lake. a psych/rock album from 1973. some tracks are better than others, but it's got a great feel.

after an initial get-together at my place...

mip fumo and i recently spent 4 days cooped up mashing samples and sounds together until we forgot where we'd started and who was who and forgot to eat and hardly slept and used bamboo to make a mic stand, just like the cavemen did. and now we have an EP! more details to come, but here are some photos...

Fridee night trash

i understand the whole idea of a blog is to update regularly and now i realise it's been nearly a year..! wow. the EP is out and about and in the CD piles of some friends and radio people. it had a bit of airplay and i was happy with it in general. but now i really wanna follow it up quickly with another short 5 track EP early in 2009. i'll post demo versions of tracks as they arise and will continue to upload photos/videos etc too. if i feel like it.

above is a vid to go with a bizarre track i made with a couple of mates a few weeks ago...

well....
after about 18 months, here are the final 8 tracks for my EP. they are all mixed, mastered and faded into one another. i've posted some on myspace as well:

they are in order here, as they will appear on the EP. the only things that may change are the track names; possibly. i've also almost finished the cd cover art, and will post it when it's done. but this will be the last time i upload these tracks. i just looked back at my first post in july 06, and read that i had hoped to have the EP finished in october of that year!! haha; no chance really...
i'll still use vox as a place to post my music as i work on it though. i'm currently working on a remix of a mip fumo track, and hope to begin work on the next EP soon.
anyway, here it is!
